The first technique is by using club soda. All you need to do is simply blot the stain as much as you can with a clean, dry cloth and then pour club soda on it. Then, blot the stain again before pouring more club soda on it.

Keep on repeating these two steps until the stain has gone away.

How to Remove Red Wine Stains From Carpet Using Hydrogen Peroxide

If you have access to hydrogen peroxide, you could use this to remove your red wine spill before it stains. Be warned though, this option can lead to some discoloration of your carpet.

Before you start, you might want to test a discrete area of your carpet to see how it’ll affect it.

Once you’ve tested the carpet, simply blot the stain using a clean, dry cloth. Then, mix two parts hydrogen peroxide to one-part washing up soap and apply to the stain. Blot and repeat until the stain has completely faded.

If you don’t have any club soda or hydrogen peroxide handy, there is a great method of removing red wine stains using white vinegar and dish soap.

To remove the stain using white vinegar and dish soap you’ll need to blot the stain as much as you possibly can using a clean, dry cloth. Once you’ve got as much as you can out of it, prepare your cleaning solution.

You can do this by mixing one tablespoon of dishwashing soap and a tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water.

Pour a small amount of the liquid onto the stain and blot frequently using a white cloth. Repeat this until the stain has completely gone.
